You’re invited to the Grand Opening of our new LA office in Norwalk

Union offices are a hub for represented employees and the community to gather. Whether we are rallying around issues in our workplaces or hosting events for the public, we are bringing attention to the needs of state workers across California. With a significant portion of the state workforce working and living in the Los Angeles region, we are excited to announce the opening of our new SEIU Local 1000 Norwalk Office.

This new office location will allow us to better serve workers in the Los Angeles region. During our fight for our current contract, we showed the power and energy of workers as they took to the streets of Los Angeles alongside allies in labor and political office. Opening our new office in the area will create a hub for future events.

We are celebrating the opening of the Norwalk location with an Open House at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 2. This is a family-friendly event and an excellent opportunity for our union members and non-members to explore the new facilities and learn more about SEIU Local 1000.

Lunch and gift bags will be provided, and various fun activities for all ages like raffles and games will be available in the child-friendly space. 

There will be informational tables from various Local 1000 Human Rights Committees and individual DLCs representing workers across the Los Angeles region. State workers interested in attending can learn more about their department, the democratic functions of their union, and ways they can get involved in their workplace and community.
