As a member-run union, Local 1000 relies on its elected officers and representatives to choose the direction we take in our fight for better wages and working conditions. Online nominations are being accepted now, and must be completed by Friday, Feb. 2, at 5:00 p.m. You can learn more about our 2024 Leadership Elections, including open positions and candidate eligibility requirements here.

Our elected leadership team determines the priorities of Local 1000. We work together to engage our 95,000 members to enforce our hard- earned contract rights, to strengthen the middle class and give power back to working families.

As a statewide officer, an officer in your District Labor Council, or as a bargaining unit representative, you have a voice in the activities that matter most to you, your fellow workers and your families.
