Let’s all make politics work for us – step up and use your voice!

Article published on october 7, 2022

Now, more than ever, California working families need lawmakers who will stand up for us and our values, and join us in the fight for racial, social, and economic justice. As state workers, politics matter to us, and by taking action, we can make change happen!

SEIU members across California gathered at regional town halls to hear from candidates for a range of leadership positions in California, including Constitutional Officers, State Senate, State Assembly and more. Members have exercised their voice and endorsed candidates whom they believe will fight for our communities, support fair compensation, and the right to a union.

Local 1000 members must elect people who will stick up for workers and who believe in investing in our next generation. We can do this by voting for those candidates who will stand up for us and our values and join us in the fight for racial, social, and economic justice.

Your vote is your voice. Join the fight for our communities, support fair compensation and the right to join a union.

Volunteer today to help elect leaders who understand and support the lives of working families.

Politics affect every aspect of our lives – and already, members are stepping up to build a better future for our families and our communities. Through grassroots organizing and talking to voters, we can put real power in the hands of regular people.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 8. Let’s all stand up and make a difference.

Together, we can make a difference – step up and volunteer for a phone bank or precinct walk. Let’s elect leaders who will make our economy work for everyone, not just the wealthiest few.
