Purple Up with a Local 1000 Zoom Background Screen
It’s a given that virtual conversations and meetings will continue as we all work to develop ways we communicate with our coworkers and fellow Local 1000 members. The question is how to show your Local 1000 pride in a virtual world.
To help, we’ve created new backgrounds you can use to “show your colors” while projecting a more professional presentation.

Instructions on how to save a Zoom background.
On a Computer (Windows/Mac) Using a Web Browser:
- Right-click on the Image: Locate the image you want to save, then right-click on it.
- Select “Save Image As…”: From the context menu that appears, choose “Save Image As…” (the wording may vary slightly depending on your browser).
- Choose a Location: A dialog box will open prompting you to select where you want to save the image (e.g., Desktop, Documents, etc.).
- Rename the File (Optional): You can rename the file if desired.
- Select File Format: Ensure that the file format is appropriate (usually .jpg, .png, etc.).
- Click “Save”: Once you’ve chosen a location and name, click “Save.”
On Mobile Devices (iOS/Android):
- Tap and Hold on the Image: Find the image you want to save and tap and hold it until a menu appears.
- Select “Download Image” or “Save Image”: Choose this option from the menu that appears.
- Check Your Gallery/Photos App: The image will be saved to your device’s gallery or photos app.
