Our Unit 17 bargaining team returned to negotiations today and continued to press the state for important gains in the way our RNs schedule their vacations.
We reached a tentative agreement allowing nurses at DDS three vacation bids, an increase from the two bids our current contract allows. We are working to improve vacation scheduling for RNs at DSH, CCHCS and DVA.
Our team reached agreement with the state on a number of sections of our existing contract, preserving language that protects previously hard-won rights for Unit 17 members.
