Intro to Application:

Recruitment and Retention (R&R) (Article 5.17.1) is a victorious win for SEIU Local 1000 members! The purpose of the language is to provide an avenue for the State and the Union to jointly come to a consensus on recruitment and retention issues that are impacting the classification and jointly create a report. The report may contain the identified R&R issue and identify and discuss possible solutions, both short and long term. The report is given/sent to the Director of Cal HR.

A questionnaire will be completed online by each applicant. Each submission will be reviewed by the Unit 1 Classification Bargaining Unit Representatives (CBURs) and a list of 10 classifications will be selected for a joint review with Cal HR.
