Awarded Environmentalist of the Year – Innovation

Our Environmental Committee partnered with community allies to organize March for Science Sacramento on Earth Day. Over 15,000 people marched in solidarity for open, inclusive and accessible science. 

The team received the 2017 “Environmentalist of the Year - Innovation” award at the Environmental Council of Sacramento’s Award Ceremony for their hard work in organizing such a historic event. 

Together we will continue to take action to protect our planet and stand with our community to achieve environmental justice.
