As we close out 2024, it’s time to reflect on the significant milestones and achievements that have defined this year for Unit 15. This year has been pivotal, showcasing our collective strength and commitment to improving the lives of our members.
Notable highlights include the $650 uniform allowance and the $165 shoe allowance, both of which have positively impacted our members. Additionally, custodians working in 24-hour facilities have begun receiving the custodian alternate range for medical cleaning, resulting in an additional 10% increase. For our food service staff, a stage pay differential of 6.5% is now in effect—comprising 2% after passing probation, 3% after twelve months, and 1.5% after twenty-four months.
