Important Information for Local 1000 Delegates, Alternates, and Staff

Hello delegates, alternates, and staff attending the convention. Please find below important information you’ll need to know to ensure a successful convention trip. Take time to read the Core Convention Resolution at the bottom of this message.

Delegates, alternate delegates, and staff have been emailed with information about how to request travel. If you have not received this email, please reach out to [email protected] 

The email has a link to an online form you’ll use to request all travel to the convention.  The deadline to send us your travel request is Tuesday, April 2. Please submit your request as soon as you can to give the travel team the best opportunity to get the flights you prefer.

If you have additional travel questions, you can email the travel team at [email protected]  and they will do their best to help you.

Registration opens for each meeting 90 minutes prior to start time.

COVID Testing will be available (for those who have not tested at home the same day). All attendees must have a negative COVID test to enter the meeting.

SEIU INTERNATIONAL 2024 CONVENTION CORE RESOLUTION

Please read and familiarize yourself with this resolution, as it will be discussed in our preparatory meetings and will provide important guidance for delegates.

The SEIU International Convention is May 19 – 22, 2024, in Philadelphia, PA.

Convention delegates represent the interests of the 96,000 state workers represented by Local 1000. Delegates attend meetings, vote on resolutions, elect international officers, approve budgets, and help shape the future of the SEIU organization as a whole, including policies that impact the work of SEIU Local 1000.

Elected representatives and delegates of member-run SEIU Local 1000 work to shape the direction of our union and our allies at SEIU International in our fight for better wages, benefits, and working conditions. Our leaders are at the forefront of organizing our efforts to give our members, and all working families the opportunity to have a good life, live in sustainable communities, and enjoy the fruits of social and economic justice
