In our 2023 contract negotiations, we secured a 3% raise for our members, effective July 1, 2025. Additionally, we negotiated the possibility of a 4% raise if the state budget is healthy. Our members work hard every day to keep California running, and we believe they deserve the full 4%. This campaign is about ensuring the state honors that commitment.

On February 12th, SEIU Local 1000 members will come together to urge CalHR, the state’s bargaining agent, to honor the full 4% raise negotiated in 2023. CalHR serves as the bridge between state workers and decision-makers like the Department of Finance, making them a key player in ensuring fair pay for California’s state employees.
In Sacramento, we’ll deliver thousands of petition signatures to CalHR’s headquarters, demonstrating the strength and solidarity of state workers across California.
