Proposition 32 Toolkit
Local 1000 members and staff are working hard to defeat Proposition 32 - the dangerous and deceptive ballot initiative that would effectively silence our political voice and our ability to protect our jobs, our benefits and pensions. You're encouraged to have conversations with your family, friends and colleagues to encourage them to join you in voting no on Proposition 32 ... and we've collected some tools you can use to show your support for a "no" vote in many ways.
Prop 32 claims it will stop campaign spending by special interests, but
the truth is that it exempts the same groups who are funding the
campaign. Those same corporate special interests will have free rein
while the middle class pays the price. This ballot initiative is not
what it seems, and that's why real reform organizations across
California oppose Prop 32 - groups like Common Cause and the League of
Women Voters of California.
Let's get the word out - we are truly stronger together when we work to keep our political voice strong!
